There are three blood tests to diagnose Type 2 diabetes. Each one has its pros and cons. For example, one...
What exactly is diabetes? It is a chronic disease in which your body is unable to properly utilize glucose, which is fuel for the body. Subsequently, sugar starts to stack up in your blood stream.
But it is not just a matter of elevated blood sugar levels. There is much more to it. Unfortunately, most patients as well as physicians don’t get down to the root cause. If you don’t treat the root cause, obviously the disease process continues and you end up with all sorts of complications.
New Treatment Plan That Treats The Root Cause
Dr. Sarfraz Zaidi, MD, FACP, FACE, a former assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA developed a new treatment strategy which not only treats blood sugar levels, but also treats the root cause. This strategy has worked for thousands of Dr. Zaidi’s diabetic patients. He explains this new, scientific, yet practical treatment approach in his book, “Reverse Your Type 2 Diabetes Scientifically.”
Prevalence of Diabetes
The prevalence of diabetes has increased enormously over the past fifty years. From 0.93% in 1958, it has jumped to a staggering 10.5% of the US population in 2020. Tha is more than 10-fold increase!
Now 1 out of 10 Americans is a diabetic. Unfortunately, 1 out of 5 don’t even know they have it.
It is pretty clear that big medical organizations such as the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), American Diabetes Association, and WHO (World Health Organization) have miserably failed to prevent or even slow down the pandemic of diabetes.
Obviously, you need to get in the driver seat, as big medical organizations are not doing a good job.
Types Of Diabetes
First of all, you need to get an in-depth understanding of what type of diabetes you have, its root cause, and what treatment scientifically targets the root cause.
Basically there are two types: Type 1 and Type 2.
In Type 1 diabetes, there is total destruction of the insulin-producing cells in your body. Hence, there is no production of insulin and you have to depend on insulin shots to live.
On the other hand, in Type 2 diabetes, patients typically have a large amount of insulin. However, it does not work properly because your body has developed resistance to its action, a process called insulin resistance.
Treatment Of Diabetes
Scientific treatment of Type 2 diabetes is different from that of Type 1. Your diabetic treatment must target the root cause. Therefore, it should treat insulin resistance if you have Type 2 diabetes and autoimmune disorder if you have Type 1. Otherwise, you will be at high risk of various complications . For example, the root cause of Type 2 diabetes is insulin resistance, which if not treated properly, may give rise to high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, dementia, erectile dysfunction and poor circulation in the legs.
