Vitamin/Hormone D Deficiency Linked to Type 2 Diabetes
An Australian study looked at total of 6,537 individuals, and found that Vitamin D (which is actually is a hormone) deficiency was linked to an increased risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
In the study, each 25 nmol/L increment in serum 25OHD was associated
with a 24% reduced risk of diabetes , which is quite impressive.
